Now that Robert Rodriguez is all but done pimping and propping Nimrod Antal’s PREDATORS, not to mention watch enough time pass to have that ridiculous Alex Jones melee blow over, RR can now focus the better part of his attention on MACHETE, the much anticipated send up to exploitation sleaze that finally hits theaters this September. Need proof homeboy’s tightly locking MACHETE in his promo sights? Cop a gander of the fresh trailer for the film below!

The new trailer has three big positives going for it. Not only does the new look kick off with a shot of Jessica Alba in the shower, this trailer gives us more sword-play and knife-fighting, and perhaps even more explosions than we’ve seen in footage prior. Of course, Michelle Rodriguez rockin’ a sweaty frame and an eye-patch is what fantasies are made of, so…

Chopping theaters September 3rd, The highly skilled Federale MACHETE is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he’s about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he’s been set up. He barely survives the sniper’s bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren’t you!

Danny Trejo plays the badass lead, with support coming from Bob De Niro, Jeff Fahey, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Cheryl Chin, Tom Savini and the hot Avellan twins, Electra and Elise.

Enjoy the pure slime below!
