Shane Black’s The Predator looks to add Thomas Jane to its cast

Thomas Jane The Predator Shane Black

I can't recall the last time I saw Thomas Jane in a major studio film, but it certainly seems like it's been a while. Hopefully we'll see the man return in a big way as THR reports that Jane is currently in final negotiations to join the cast of Shane Black's THE PREDATOR.

As THE PREDATOR moves towards kicking off production in Vancouver in February, the cast is coming together rather quickly to make the date. Boyd Holbrook is set to star in THE PREDATOR as an ex-marine who is brought in to battle the Predator threat, Trevante Rhodes will play his best friend, also an ex-marine, Olivia Munn will play a scientist, Keegan-Michael Key will play a man who assists them and Sterling K. Brown will play a government agent. Unfortunately, the details of Thomas Jane's role were not revealed, but I'm quite excited to see Jane (hopefully) putting his Punisher past to good use in the upcoming Shane Black flick. Despite Black's denials, it's still said that the setting of THE PREDATOR will be a more domestic one and that the film will feature not just one, but "many" Predator characters.

THE PREDATOR is currently set for a February 9, 2018 release
