FOX has released a new television spot for INDEPENDENCE DAY RESURGENCE, and although it doesn't contain a ton of new stuff, it does offer some intriguing previously unseen footage.

For starters, the spot provides us with a first look at Brent Spiner's Dr. Brackish Okun, who was seemingly killed in the first movie. Speaking of returning faces, the spot also features a bit more of Bill Pullman as former U.S. President Thomas Whitmore and Jeff Goldblum as David Levinson. What are your thoughts on this latest look at the INDEPENDENCE DAY sequel?

"They're not screaming. They're celebrating."

Synopsis:

We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

INDEPENDENCE DAY RESURGENCE will be in theaters on June 24, 2016.
