Sheila Vand has shower trouble in clip from Dave Franco’s The Rental

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Actor Dave Franco has made his feature directorial debut with a thriller called THE RENTAL, which is set to reach VOD, as well as select drive-ins and theatres, this Friday, July 24th. Today we've gotten our hands on a clip from a film that shows a character played by Sheila Vand (genre fans may recognize her from A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT or THE WAVE) making an unsettling discovery in the shower at the titular location.

In the video embedded above, the 60+ second clip is followed by the film's trailer.

Franco wrote THE RENTAL with Joe Swanberg. The synopsis:

Two couples looking to celebrate their seed money from a new business venture, embark on a weekend getaway to a seemingly perfect house they’ve booked online. But what begins as a festive weekend for the four close friends turns into something far more sinister as secrets they’ve kept from each other are exposed and paranoia grows that they may not be alone.

Vand is joined in the cast by Alison Brie, Jeremy Allen White, Toby Huss, and THE GUEST's Dan Stevens, who is also featured in the clip.

With Franco at the helm, THE RENTAL already had my curiosity. Now I'm starting to hear very good, intriguing things about it, so I'm really looking forward to checking it out this weekend.
