Shocker! “True Blood” nearing 5th season renewal

Fairies and wizards be damned, the show ain’t going anywhere!

Deadline has one of the most obvious scoops I’ve seen in a while, that HBO’s hit “vampire” series “True Blood” is on the brink of a 5th season renewal. Nothing’s been officially announced, but seeing how showrunner Alan Ball just closed a deal to keep the show going for at least one more season, we’re more than likely to see Sookie and the bayou bunch for many more episodes to come.

Now, I suppose any shock related to this story would come by way of Ball’s so called boredom with the show. He’s openly hinted at the 5th season being his last, but not a 4th. Here’s what he said at a TCA panel:

“I have no desire to leave…doing the show is more fun than anything else I’ve ever done.”

And there it is. “True Blood” bound for another season. I’m indifferent, as I don’t watch the show. But let us know, has the show run its course or is there still a bounty of storylines to work with?
