Yeah, no one’s really shocked at all, are they?!?

In what’s become as much of a constant as gravity (or a SAW release), the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise will return to theaters with a third installment on the 21st of next October. Shout out to my boy JB’s b-day in advance!

Original PARANORMAL ACTIVITY creator Oren Peli officially confirmed as much (via B-D), though no plot details, writer, director or casting decisions have been announced.

Of course, it doesn’t really matter…if you take the aggregate rating John “The Arrow” Fallon gave both P.A. and P.A. 2, you’ll find the flicks rank at a whopping 1.5 skulls a piece (out of 4). That being said, both made an ungodly amount of money, the last incarnation cashing over $80 million domestically, over $150 million worldwide. Pick a name out of hat then and this next bastard’s likely to yield a tidy profit.

Now’s as good a time as any to get a pulse…you guys in favor of a 3rd PARANORMAL ACTIVITY flick? If so, who do you think should direct? If not Oren Peli or Tod Williams, then who?

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 opens October 21, 2011.
