The Shout! Factory isn’t letting up on its run of awesomeness, adding yet another title to their summer Blu-ray slate: THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN! This schlocky 1977 number is notable for featuring some of Rick Baker’s earliest, and gooiest, effects. It was released on DVD a couple of years ago, but is already difficult to find.

Shout Factory hasn’t released any details for the disc yet, nor have they revealed when it’s hitting shelves; all we know is that it will come out this summer. Their Blu-ray art can be found below, featuring the original key art and tagline.

The plot:

An astronaut contracts a disease that causes his flesh to melt. In order to stop the rapid deterioration of his flesh is to feed on the flesh of other human beings.

Directed by William Sachs, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN stars Alex Rebar, Michael Alldredge, Burr Debenning and Myron Healey. We’ll let you know when it nabs a release date.
