Sitges 09 is on!

It’s that time of year again: the SITGES FILM FESTIVAL is getting ready to kick off in sunny Spain, and it looks to be another fantastic mix of flicks, panels, and ceremonies. Beginning on OCTOBER 1 and running until the 12th, the fest will be honoring people like Viggo Mortensen, Malcolm McDowell, and Walter Hill; in addition, the entire festival is dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of ALIEN (as you can see from their poster).

In addition to all that coolness, we have a little more invested in SITGES here at AITH. Our own John “The Arrow” Fallon will be there to pimp a couple of flicks he’s involved with: OLD NUMBER 7, which he stars in and co-wrote, and RECON 2023, which he also wrote and stars in. In addition to that, he’ll be hitting up a bunch of the flicks the fest has to offer, and everything will culminate in a detailed report about his exploits there. So in conclusion: he’ll be working hard and playing hard!

There are so many films showing, I can’t even list them all here. I will tell you that the well-regarded [REC] 2 will open Sitges, and THE ROAD, with Viggo, Robert Duvall, and Charlize Theron, will close it out. Head on over to the official SITGES site to see the whole line-up, learn how to get tickets, watch trailers, and more!
