Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for Slow Horses, the anticipated espionage series launching globally on Friday, April 1. The Slow Horses trailer stars Academy Award-winner Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, the cantankerous leader of a band of MI5 misfits. Joining Oldman for the exciting new series is Academy Award-nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, Academy Award-nominee Jonathan Pryce, BAFTA Scotland Award-winner Jack Lowden, and Olivia Wilde.

Slow Horses also features Saskia Reeves, Dustin Demri-Burns, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Paul Higgins, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Steve Waddington, Paul Hilton, Antonio Aakeel, and Peter Judd.

Per the official press release for Slow Horses:

The new series is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known un-affectionately as Slough House. Oldman stars as ‘Jackson Lamb,’ the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world.

If today’s Slow Horses trailer is telling me anything, it’s that there’s too much to watch on television right now. I remember the days when television was nothing more than network-related blocks of family-friendly comedies and daytime soap operas. Now we’re living the high life as shows like Slow Horses look as engaging as any crime thriller bound for theaters.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (Veep). Graham Yost executive produces alongside Smith. Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, and Douglas Urbanski also serve as executive producers on the series. James Hawes directs all six episodes and executive produces.

The first two episodes will debut globally on Friday, April 1, exclusively on Apple TV+, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.
