Director Tom Ford's follow-up feature to the tragic romance A SINGLE MAN is going in the exact opposite direction. The film, titled NOCTURNAL ANIMALS, is a dark revenge thriller that has been receiving terrific reviews out of TIFF, including a corker from our very own Chris Bumbray.
Below, you can check out a teaser for the film's full trailer, which will be released tomorrow. This is a frustrating trend in film promotion, but I'm happy to get even a tiny glimpse at the director's stylish, slick, and dark imagery. Check it out!
In NOCTURNAL ANIMALS:
A successful Los Angeles art-gallery owner's idyllic life is marred by the constant traveling of her handsome second husband. While he is away, she is shaken by the arrival of a manuscript written by her first husband, who she has not seen in years. The manuscript tells the story of a teacher who finds a trip with his family turning into a nightmare. As Susan reads the book, it forces her to examine her past and confront some dark truths.
The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Armie Hammer, Michael Shannon, and Laura Linney. NOCTURNAL ANIMALS will arrive on November 23, 2016.
