Zack Snyder is, for the time being, moving away from stylized comic book adaptations and dipping his newly red hot directorial finger into more conventional live action fare. He’s re-teaming with 300 scribe Kurt Johnstad for the drama THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH. The film revolves around the titular photograph and its repercussions for two men traveling through a war torn Afghanistan. Presumably, this photograph has a certain level of finality to it. Snyder is, as we speak, knee deep in WATCHMEN as the film recently began production and hopefully he’ll be doing more production videos so we can all at least get a small glimpse of the WATCHMEN world he’s created. And so that Alan Moore can seethe at the way they’ve so blatantly desecrated his work.
