So glad this isn’t happening, the concept art for the now dead Fresnadillo/Cooper The Crow remake surfaces

So have you been wondering what sort of ideas and concepts were thought of for that now in limbo THE CROW remake which had Juan Carlos Fresnadillo on as director and Bradley Cooper as the star? Well some concept art has been released, and I am glad this version isn’t going to happen.

I want to get this out of the way first the artist here Diego Latorre is fantastic, the man has amazing talent and the work he has done is super. It isn’t his work that I don’t like; it is the concept itself that has left a bad taste in my mouth. It just does not look like THE CROW, nothing about it does. Cooper never really suited the character, and I am not sure what type of vision or version they were really going for with this.

The film is now in limbo, as Juan Carlos left to pursue another remake, of HIGHLANDER (please let that have better concepts!). I assume the powers that be are looking for a new director and actor. I have no problem with this remake/reboot but if you are going to do it, do it right. After looking at these, they certainly were not on the right track in my opinion. Alex Proyas made a great film despite the real life tragedy behind it, go back and appreciate that.
