Spiderman & Vampire?

Returning to horror with DRAG ME TO HELL (read my review HERE), Sam Raimi might not be done scratching that scary itch just yet. In an interview with FEARnet, Raimi gives us an intriguing hint at what he might have planned for the next SPIDER-MAN film. In a name: Morbius.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Spidey books, Morbius is sort of a vampire created by science. He was introduced in the early 70s and also went on to fight fellow Marvel character BLADE. Here’s a more “official” bio, provided by Wiki: Morbius was a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, who had attempted to cure himself of a rare blood disease with an experimental treatment involving vampire bats and electroshock therapy. However, he instead became afflicted with a far worse condition that mimicked the powers and blood-thirst of legendary vampirism.

Check out the interview with Raimi HERE, and tell me it doesn’t seem like, with just a brief reaction, he doesn’t basically flat-out say Morbius will be the next Spidey villain. If it works out this way, would you be down?
