We just saw a trailer for Spirit Halloween: The Movie last month, but now a second trailer for the movie has already arrived online and can be seen in the embed above. Starring Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) and Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That), Spirit Halloween: The Movie – which is indeed based on the retail outlet Spirit Halloween – is set to receive a VOD release on October 11th.

Directed by David Poag from a screenplay by Billie Bates, Spirit Halloween: The Movie tells the following story:

When a Spirit Halloween Store opens in a deserted strip mall, three middle school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick or treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids will need to embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.

Lloyd and Cook are joined in the cast by Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons), Donovan Colvan (Chapelwaite), Marissa Reyes (Raven’s Home), Jaiden J. Smith (Two Sentence Horror Stories), Dylan Martin Frankel (Life & Beth), and Brad Carter (Ozark).

Spirit Halloween: The Movie is coming to us from Strike Back Studios, Hideout Pictures, and Particular Crowd. Strike Back’s Noor Ahmed said, “One of the reasons I immediately connected with the script is it is very much inspired by some of my favorite kid adventure films growing up, from The GooniesGremlinsMonster Squad and so many great films made by Amblin Entertainment.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie looks like it will be good fun for the younger horror fans who take a look at it this Halloween season. What did you think of the new trailer? Will you be watching this movie? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
