Light Spoilers below:

UPDATED: A second TV spot, entitled “lesson,” has been added. Check it out below!

The Marvel Phase 2 kickoff is almost set to kick off with IRON MAN 3 and anticipation is expectedly through the roof.  I think that most fans are excited not only to see another IRON MAN film, but also to see the threads start to begin for the next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Thus far, Marvel was worked some masterful magic in weaving their movie tales and I think the expectation to continue to do that, while still telling a standalone story, is high.

Today, we have a new international TV spot that featues a huge percentage of new footage and confirms a spoiler that’s been hinted at since before production began.  That’s right, folks, Pepper Potts, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, armored up in Tony’s IRON MAN suit.  Judging from the spot (and previous trailers), it looks like Tony (Robert Downey, Jr.) somehow has the armor “fly” onto Pepper during the Mandarin’s attack, which in turn allows her to save him in return.  Pretty cool stuff.

Check it out:

IRON MAN 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, William Sadler, James Badge Dale, and Jon Favreau, opens in IMAX 3D on May 3, 2013.
