Stallone gets in the Halloween spirit with behind-the-scenes Rambo video

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

SPOILER if you haven't seen RAMBO: LAST BLOOD yet, but there is a moment in that movie where the title character takes a bloody beating. It seems star Sylvester Stallone had fun wearing the fake blood and the injury prosthetics required to make that beating look convincing on the screen, as he took some behind-the-scenes video playing around with it.

Now he has chosen the perfect day to share the video of his bloody mess of a face, using it to celebrate Halloween.

As announced just a couple days ago, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is scheduled to receive a digital release on December 3rd, with a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release to follow on December 17th. Copies can be pre-ordered at THIS LINK.

Directed by Adrian Grunberg from a screenplay Stallone wrote with Matt Cirulnick and Dan Gordon, LAST BLOOD finds

Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, crossing the U.S./Mexico border to help find the kidnapped granddaughter of one of his close friends. He quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent cartels.

Stallone's co-stars include Adriana Barraza as Rambo's friend Maria; Yvette Monreal as Maria's granddaughter Gabrielle; Sergio Peris-Mencheta as villainous cartel leader Hugo Martinez; Óscar Jaenada as Hugo's brother Victor Martinez; and Paz Vega as Carmen Delgado, "a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped".

There's no word on whether the home video release in the United States will be of the domestic theatrical cut, or of the international cut, which runs 12 minutes longer. I'm holding off on buying my copy until I can be sure that I'm getting the full, longer cut.
