Full time bad ass Jason Statham recently spoke a little sumthin’ sumthin’ to the folks at the IESB and among the many things he covered, he mentioned not only a desire to play a comic book character but that he’d already taken a meeting to discuss the upcoming feature adaptation of SUB-MARINER. Says the former adrenaline time bomb: “It’s funny, I took a meeting for Sub-Mariner. I don’t know if I’d look right running around in a tight speedo with wings on my ankles but there’s so many cool fucking characters.” Hey, nobody looks right in a tight speedo and ankle wings but if the story works, most of us are willing to put that aside.
