Having served as an adequate, albeit vamp-toothed, substitute for amnesiac superspy Jason Bourne’s brutally sniped love, Julia Stiles has now decided to tap into the psyche of a woman suffering from a severe case of pseudo Stockholm Syndrome for an upcoming film titled CRY OF THE OWL. Based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith and under writer/director Jamie Thraves, the flim follows Stiles as she slowly realizes the neighbor (Paddy Considine) keeping a constant vigil of her every move is really the man of her dreams. Speedman will play her ex who, realizing he can’t compete with the determination and persistence of a dedicated stalker, plots a nasty revenge. Stiles can next be seen in the drama/thriller GOSPEL HILL and in the Sylvia Plath inspired drama THE BELL JAR.
