Stop-Loss trailer

JoBloJoBlo

I don’t know what to think of this new STOP-LOSS movie. The trailer has just premiered on the MTV Movies Blog and while the film seems to feature some striking visuals, it seems a tad melodramatic. “This isn’t about the war! It’s about you! And me! And everybody else!” Oy. And it features a crying Channing Tatum, which, I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to see. That said, I do appreciate a film that doesn’t try to dilute its message to make it palatable to everyone. It has a clear stance and it sticks to it without fence-sitting. At least it would appear that way from the two minutes and thirty seconds I just watched. In addition to a weepy Channing Tatum, the film also stars Ryan Phillippe, Abbie Cornish and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who might be worth the price of admission alone. STOP-LOSS is scheduled to start getting preachy on our asses next March. You can check out the new trailer by heading over here to MTV’s blog.
