Storm Reid and David Oyelowo star in Only You for Blumhouse

Storm Reid

Having finished her work in the lead role of Ava DuVernay's highly anticipated adaptation of the novel A WRINKLE IN TIME, young actress Storm Reid has signed on to star in the Blumhouse production ONLY YOU alongside David Oyelowo – who happened to star in DuVernay's film SELMA as Martin Luther King Jr.

Details of the story crafted by writer/director Jacob Estes are being kept secret for now, but it is known that ONLY YOU

involves a police officer whose family was killed, a niece who is in danger, and a plot with time travel elements.

Oyelowo is playing the police officer in the film, which went into production on Monday. Reid is his character's distressed niece.

ONLY YOU is being produced by Jason Blum, with Oyelowo, Couper Samuelson, Jeanette Volturno, and Jay Martin executive producing.

There's not much to go on with this one just yet, but the Blumhouse pedigree and the mention of "time travel elements" is enough to get me hooked and wanting to know more.

Oyelowo also played a cop in JACK REACHER
