Story and the Losers

JoBloJoBlo

Tim Story doesn’t seem to be getting too much love from the fanboy community these days but that’s not stopping him from returning to the comic genre for another turn. No, FANTASTIC FOUR 3 hasn’t been announced (yet – give it time) but Story has instead stepping into direct an adaptation of DC/Vertigo’s THE LOSERS. The film will follow an elite group who are set up to be killed by the government. They go rogue and set out to right a number of wrongs all while clearing their name. Yeah it kinda sounds like a million other action films before it but Story promises this one will be different. “I was looking for a vehicle that would have that edge, but I didn’t want to lose my personality, which is a bit tongue-and-cheek, where the characters have a little fun with each other.” Uhh, yeah buddy, I think we know all too well about that cheekiness. Both Peter Berg and McG were at one point scheduled to direct the film but both were forced to drop out. Berg is staying on as a producer and his script will serve as a basis for Story’s movie.
