Superhero poster

I treat chimp-simple parody movies much like slaughterhouses, emergency rooms, Oprah and domestic beer: I’d prefer to avoid them. Initially I thought SUPERHERO MOVIE might be different, since director Craig Mazin already successfully (in my opinion) handled spandex satire with the low-cost indie THE SPECIALS.

Unfortunately, then I saw the trailer and now this poster, and realized it was basically aimed at the same double-digit IQ audiences that gobbles this shit like cookie dough. But my opinion ultimately makes no difference, since it’s bound to generate more wealth than I’ll probably ever see (without making something similar).

As H.L. Mencken said, “No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people.” But as Leslie Nielsen’s shirt said, “With great power comes hot bitches.” The logic is clearly irrefutable.
