Will Gluck is done playing with Peter Rabbit and is ready to return to the romantic comedy genre for a new untitled R-rated comedy. The new project shared exciting casting news on Wednesday, with reports coming in that Sydney Sweeney (EuphoriaThe White Lotus) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: MaverickDevotion) will star in Gluck’s next movie. The plot is shrouded in mystery. Still, we know Gluck is directing and rewriting Ilana Wolpert’s script.

Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Gluck are producing, with Sweeney producing via Fifty-Fifty Films. Natalie Sellers and Alyssa Altman serve as executive producers through RK Films.

Gluck is the genius behind the camera for films like Easy AFriends With Benefits, and the Peter Rabbit franchise. He’s in the throes of developing End of the World, an action comedy he plans to direct and co-write with Chris Brenner. Gluck is also attached to an adaptation of Ubisoft’s hit video game series Just Dance. Gluck will direct and co-write Just Dance alongside AC Bradley.

Following her star-polishing roles in shows like Euphoria and The White Lotus, Sydney Sweeney will star in numerous upcoming film projects. The first is Michael Mohan’s horror film Immaculate. In the movie, a woman of devout faith is welcomed to the picture-perfect Italian countryside, where she is offered a new role at an illustrious convent. But it becomes more evident to Cecilia that her new home harbors dark and horrifying secrets. Sweeney is also set to star in Tony Tost’s National Anthem, Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Madame Web, and Tina Satter’s upcoming thriller Reality.

As for Glen Powell, he’s in high demand after playing Lr. Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin in Top Gun: Maverick, and J.D. Dillard’s war drama Devotion. His upcoming film projects include a starring role in Richard Linklater’s Hitman, about a staff investigator who plays the role of a hitman to catch individuals ordering a hit. He’ll also star in Katie Silberman’s Most Dangerous Game alongside Zoey Deutch and Tonjha Richardson.
