Sylvester Stallone memorabilia from Rambo, Rocky & more are headed to auction

Do you want a piece of Sylvester Stallone’s history? Well, some of it could very well be yours if you’re willing to place your bids for it. Props from iconic Stallone films like Rambo and Rocky, among others, are going up for auction and that means collectors with some extra money to burn, will have a chance to own a piece of cinematic history.

The auction comes courtesy of Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills as part of their “Property From The Life and Career of Sylvester Stallone” event. Several movies from the Rambo and Rocky franchises have many props up for grabs and many other items from other action movies from his career will be represented as well. CEO/President of Julien’s Auctions, Darren Julien, had this to say about the event::

“Sylvester Stallone is one of the great icons and immense talents of the 20th and 21st century who is the epitome of a multi-hyphenated Hollywood superstar. With a remarkable career that began over 50 years ago and shows no sign of stopping today, he changed the world and the action film universe by giving us two of Hollywood’s greatest and most enduring heroes and cultural symbols, Rocky and Rambo. Julien’s Auctions is proud to present this epic auction that comes entirely from the personal collection of this magnanimous man, the myth, the legend, Sylvester Stallone.”

The December auction is expected to raise around $1.5 million. Nearly 500 items from Stallone’s personal archives are being sold, including costumes, props, scripts, notebooks, and other memorabilia from the actor’s biggest films. Among the highlights being sold include Stallone’s boxing gloves from Rocky III, with an estimate of $10,000 – $20,000 going price, as well as handwritten notebooks about the first four Rocky films, priced at $40,000 – $60,000. Fans of Rambo are being offered a collection of knives from the first three films, priced $10,000 – $20,000 each, as well as a headband worn by Stallone in Rambo: First Blood Part II ($8,000-$10,000) among other memorabilia from the film.

Other items for sale include posters, the boxing mouth guard worn by Stallone in Rocky, a costume designed by Gianni Versace for Judge Dredd, a Cliffhanger arm sculpture, a helmet, knife necklace, throwing knives, and a Luminor Panerai patch from The Expendables, his sheriff uniform from Cop Land, and his prison uniform and boots from Escape Plan, among other items.
