The story of Sylvester Stallone's underdog boxer Rocky Balboa has largely come full circle over the course of six films, not counting the Creed spin-offs, but there's one place it can still go — back to the beginning. Stallone took to Instagram today to reveal that he's in the midst of writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel series that he envisions launching on a streaming service.

"This may be the strangest posting yet," writes Stallone. "I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel For streaming. Ideally 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the Characters in there younger years – Here is a small portion of how my creative writing Process starts…Hope it happens – And then I needed to clear my head so I went fishing… Talk about extremes! Keep punching my friends." That would certainly be interesting to see, particularly as another actor would obviously be taking on the role of Rocky, but there's no guarantee that the project will see the light of day. What do you folks think? Would you like to see the story Rocky's early years?
