News regarding the fourth installment in the UNDERWORLD franchise has been relatively quiet around these parts for some time, but at least we now know what to expect from the film’s story.
Thanks to the guys over at Bloody Disgusting, here’s the synopsis for the tentatively titled UNDERWORLD 4: NEW DAWN…
“After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.”
Nothing much else is out there to report, though casting is said to be currently underway. The film is being directed by Swedish directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein (SHELTER) from a script by John Hlavin (“The Shield”) and J. Michael Straczynsk (THE CHANGELING). Who might be playing the role of ‘Nissa’, I wonder?
UNDERWORLD 4: NEW DAWN opens January 20, 2012 in 3D.
