Matthew Lillard’s directorial debut is based on the award-winning young adult novel by K.L. Going. “Fat Kid Rules the World” which focuses on overweight teen Troy Billings (Jacob Wysocki) who is saved from a suicide attempt by Marcus Macrae (Matt O’Leary), a charismatic 18-year-old punk rocker who adopts Troy as his friend and changes Troy’s life forever by showing him how to express himself through Punk Rock as a drummer.
