Teaser for Marvel’s Black Panther comes roaring online

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The first teaser for Marvel's BLACK PANTHER from director Ryan Coogler has just roared online and it's got all the makings of another entertaining romp from the comic book studio. We got a look at the poster earlier today (with mixed reactions), but the trailer has a great vibe to it and this looks to be a really nice change of pace in terms of style, location and characters for the studio, while still retaining their signature franchise beats. As someone who was mildly interested before, this definitely inched up on the hype-meter after this teaser. Check out the trailer below!

Starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular character, the film boasts an impressive cast that includes Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger (loving that look, too!), Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Andy Serkis as Claw, Martin Freeman as Agent Ross, Sterling K. Brown as N'Jobu, Angela Bassett as
Ramonda and Forest Whitaker as Zuri. That's a hell of a line-up, but Marvel doesn't often fall short in that department. It's great to see the studio pushing new (yet established) characters into their line-up as their universe continues to expand. Let's just hope that the quality can be maintained (or improved, for those that feel it's waning).

BLACK PANTHER slashes into theaters on February 16th, 2018.
