The first teaser trailer for Hammer Films’ THE WOMAN IN BLACK has made its way online, courtesy of IGN. Check it out below to see if it lives up to the hype. The video appropriately teases with some spooky imagery without really giving anything away.

The movie boasts Daniel Radcliffe in his first post-HARRY POTTER role. The cast also includes Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer, Shaun Dooley, Cathy Sara, Mary Stockley, Roger Allam, Liz White, Lucy May Barker, Tim McMullan, Alisa Khazanova, Daniel Cerqueira, David Burke and Victor McGuire.

The film is based on the novel by Susan Hill. James Watkins (EDEN LAKE) directs from a script by Jane Goldman (KICK-ASS). It’s scheduled to hit cinemas in the U.K. on February 10, 2012. No word of a U.S. release yet, but hopefully we’ll hear of one soon. Here is the synopsis:

Daniel Radcliffe stars as Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client’s papers. As Kipps works alone in the client’s isolated house, he begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
