In the same article that told us about STRANGERS 2 being close to shooting, comes word that Intrepid Pictures is prepping another thriller, this one for director David Prior.
Details are under wraps; the only thing we know is that it’s based on a series of terrifying events that occurred in Wisconsin in the 1990s. Despite a very un-thorough, half-assed investigation, I haven’t discovered what these events might be. (Of course, it’s possible that said events never even happened.)
This will be the feature directorial debut of David Prior, but he’s been in the business for a while, having produced and edited many “Making-Of” featurettes for home video, including docs about making THE FLY, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, and PANIC ROOM. Prior is writing the screenplay for the untitled thriller as well, which will be produced by Intrepid, the studio that brought us THE HITCHER, DOOMSDAY, and of course, THE STRANGERS.
