Tessa Thompson joins Chris Hemsworth in Men in Black reboot

A few days or so ago we let you guys know that THOR himself Chris Hemsworth (or as all of us here know him as Kurt from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's CABIN IN THE WOODS) was looking to join director F. Gary Gray's reboot of MEN IN BLACK.

And today we have news via THR that Hemsworth's THOR: RAGNAROK co-star Tessa Thompson may be joining in on the alien-fighting as well.

I'm not too sure about this reboot as one of the best aspects of the original film(s) was the back-and-forth between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. But THOR: RAGNAROK did show us Hemsworth and Thompson have chemistry so I guess I'm optimistic. What do you make of this casting and this planned reboot in general? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media!

Rundown via THR:

Akin to how Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park film series, Sony’s reboot is to feature new characters rather than Agents K and J, portrayed by original trilogy stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, respectively, and will build on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operated.

The reboot is set to be directed by F. Gary Gray (FRIDAY) from a script written by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (IRON MAN). Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald will produce with Mr. Steven Spielberg executive producing. MEN IN BLACK: REBOOTED hits theaters June 14, 2019.
