Scans from the latest issue of Fangoria have hit the internet, giving us our first look at Bill Moseley as Drayton Sawyer in TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D.
The role was originated by Jim Siedow in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974), who would reprise it again for TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2. Based on the first image, they may be tinkering with the original series mythology by adding Loretta Sawyer (Dodie Brown, to the right of Moseley), a matriarchal figure for the insane family. However, I must say it is good to see that Grandpa (left) is sorta, kinda alive and well.
TEXAS CHAINSAW hits theaters January 4th. It’s directed by John Luessenhop and stars Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Trey Songz, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood and Dan Yeager. Check out further proof that the saw is still family below.
