The Conjuring’s Joey King joins Annabelle director’s Wish Upon

The CONJURING family sticks together! WISH UPON, the new film from ANNABELLE director and CONJURING cinematographer John R. Leonetti, has found its lead by pulling from the growing Wan ensemble. The role will be filled by Joey King, who played young Charlotte in the original CONJURING.

Since then, she has also starred in INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE, the TV show Fargo, WHITE HOUSE DOWN, and THE SOUND AND THE FURY. That's quite an impressive resume for someone who is still too young to buy lottery tickets!

In WISH UPON, from the Black List script by Barbara Marshall:

When 16-year-old misfit Claire finds a magic box that promises a chance at the life she’s always wanted, she never could have guessed that each wish would demand a deadly payment.

Production is scheduled to begin this Fall.
