The Continental gets themed pop-up bar in NYC

A pop-up bar inspired by the upcoming John Wick series The Continental will have a limited run beginning this month.

John Wick: Chapter 4 shut a few chapters for the franchise, but it's opened up plenty of new ones - where will the franchise go from here?

Start gathering your gold coins because a pop-up bar modeled after the world of John Wick, chiefly the upcoming miniseries The Continental, is coming to New York City later this month to promote the highly anticipated expansion of the franchise. Even cooler is that it will be inside of the Beaver Hotel, which was used for The Continental’s exterior.

As per the official website for The Continental, “Step back in time to the 1970s to the world’s most chic, sophisticated, and dangerously elite hotel in NYC. Venture into the hotel’s cryptic underworld for an unforgettable evening of decadent cocktails and live, interactive storylines – all with a killer twist.” They do, however, kindly ask that patrons not engage in “bloodshed” and “hostile business.” Fair enough.

There are two options for entry to The Continental: Guest of the Manager (priced at $15/person) and Guest of the High Table ($25/person). Although both tiers come with a gold coin to gain access to The Continental and even a commemorative one to take home, the latter offers a bonus one to be used at the bar.

As for what’s on the menu at The Continental, there will be a selection of themed drinks and snacks. But the real goal here is to give patrons an experience, so there will be live music, photo ops, and more. The website also says there are a couple of different ways to go about your night, which will be capped at two hours. “Roam the hotel bar and its backrooms to uncover a high-stakes plot, or opt to spend all two hours lounging at the bar. It is up to you to unlock the secrets of The Continental.” Tickets can be purchased via Fever.

The Continental pop-up bar will open on September 21st, the day before the three-part miniseries premieres on Peacock. Its finale is set for October 6th, with The Continental bar closing its doors two days later.

Pop culture pop-up experiences have proven to be quite popular, with ones for Friends’ Central Perk, Kevin Smith’s Mooby’s and more arriving over the past few years. But if you’re thinking of opening one yourself, you might want to get the rights, as those related to Coming to America and Stranger Things have seen legal trouble in the past.

Will you check out The Continental if you’re in the area?
