The Edge of Sleep: Markiplier, Analeigh Tipton, Eve Harlow star in TV series

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The QCode podcast The Edge of Sleep is being turned into a television series, and YouTuber Mark Fischback, a.k.a. Markiplier, will be reprising his role from the podcast on the show. Markiplier is being joined in the cast by Analeigh Tipton and Eve Harlow.

Marikiplier will also be executive producing the TV series, which will be a "post-apocalyptic mystery thriller" centered on

a night watchman who finishes his shift at work to discover that everyone in the world who went to sleep the previous night has died. He and a band of survivors must stay awake and uncover the secret of the terrifying global epidemic before they too fall asleep.

New Regency is financing The Edge of Sleep, with the podcast's creators Jake Emanuel and Willie Block serving as writers and showrunners. Corey Adams is set to direct every episode of the show, with filming scheduled to begin in British Columbia next month.

Emanuel, Block, and Adams will also be executive producing alongside Markiplier, New Regency, QCode, Automatik, and Oddfellows.

I had never heard of The Edge of Sleep (or Markiplier) before this announcement, but the concept is intriguing. I might have to check out the podcast while waiting to see how this TV show goes.
