The expletives fly in this exclusive foul-mouthed BTS clip from Good Boys

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Back when I was in middle school, my friends and I had to be careful with regard to what words we used in front of adults. After all, the playground was a hotbed of heinous insults, and my fellow classmates and I were always coming up with new and inventive ways to "rank each other out." When you think about it, curse words are just that, words. However, society dictates that some words, when spoken aloud and in surprise or anger, are considered taboo. Now that I'm all grown up, I'd like to think that I've invented some curse words of my own, thanks in part to exceedingly difficult video game bosses or astronomical bills showing up in my mailbox. Truth be told, my life has been a rousing and expletive-filled journey thus far, though I'd like to think that foul language has, at the very least, offered me some linguistic therapy throughout the years.

Today we have a real treat for you in the form of an exclusive clip for GOOD BOYS, the Gene Stupnitsky-directed comedy starring Jacob Tremblay (WONDER, THE PREDATOR), Keith L. Williams (KIDDING, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH), and Brady Noon (BOARDWALK EMPIRE). In the film, three 6th grade boys ditch school and embark on an epic journey while carrying accidentally stolen drugs, being hunted by teenage girls, and trying to make their way home in time for a long-awaited party.

The clip we have on offer gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the movie was made, including what it was like for the film's three prepubescent stars to sling obcenities both while filming and off-camera. While the boys promise that their language isn't nearly as foul once the cameras have stopped rolling, I can't help but think that after they've learned a number of "forbidden phrases," those insults are there to stay. With any luck, the cast will leave their characters' vulgar vocabulary behind once the film had wrapped … but I think we know better than to believe that.

GOOD BOYS will become available on Digital on October 29th and on Blu-ray and DVD this November 12th.
