The Fault in Our Stars’ Nat Wolff joins Josh Boone’s The Stand adaptation

Director Josh Boone and actor Nat Wolff have worked together twice with STUCK IN LOVE and THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, and now Boone has cast Wolff in his planned adaptation of THE STAND. However, the actor won't actually be playing a character from Stephen King's novel. Josh Boone recently told THR he's writing a part specifically for Nat Wolff.

Here's Josh Boone on why he wants Nat Wolff for THE STAND.

"He's a wonderful improviser, he's my secret weapon, my lucky rabbit's foot. Two or three of the biggest laughs in my first movie, he improvised. He's gonna be in every movie I make."

With the many characters in Stephen King's novel, it's a little odd the first casting news is for one that doesn't appear in the book, but at least there's been some movement on the project. With Nat Wolff joining THE STAND, maybe there will be some more casting news in the near future.

Josh Boone and Nat Wolff's THE FAULT IN OUR STARS will be in theaters on June 6th, 2014.
