The Forever Purge clip: Tenoch Huerta, Josh Lucas prepare for the last stand

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Although I am a casual fan of the Purge franchise, I haven't made it out to see the recently released fifth film, The Forever Purge, on the big screen. If you also haven't seen it yet and need to see a little more before you decide whether or not this one is worth a trip to the theatre for you, we've gotten our hands on a clip from The Forever Purge, and you can see it in the embed above. In this clip, characters played by Tenoch Huerta, Josh Lucas, Ana de la Reguera, and Zahn McClarnon are preparing to get caught up in a shootout… and they're low on ammo.

The clip is followed in the video by the film's trailer.

Purge franchise creator James DeMonaco, who has written every film in the series and directed the first three, wrote this one as well. Everardo Gout directed the film, which tells the story of

Adela (Ana de la Reguera) and Juan (Tenoch Huerta), who find solace at a Texan ranch, having fled a drug cartel in Mexico. Things go awry when a group of outsiders decide to keep purging beyond the allotted time when people can break any and all laws.

The cast also includes Leven Rambin, Alejandro Edda, Elijah Hardin, Will Patton, and Cassidy Freeman.

The Forever Purge was produced by DeMonaco, Sébastien K. Lemercier, Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.

This film was originally being promoted as the final entry in the Purge franchise, but DeMonaco has since admitted that he has an idea for a sixth film. We'll have to wait and see if Universal is happy enough with the box office on this one to want to move forward with another one. In addition to the films, the franchise also includes two seasons of a Purge television series.
