Filming is underway for FAST 8 with STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON's F. Gary Gray behind the camera, and yesterday Vin Diesel took to his Instagram to share a photo of the main cast of the latest entry in the blockbuster film series. In addition to Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham and Kurt Russell are also reprising their roles from the previous installments, while newcomers to the franchise include Charlize Theron (as the movie's big baddie), Scott Eastwood and Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju.
We still don't know much about the plot of the upcoming film, but earlier this year Gray said he wants to give the audience something different with FAST 8.
I’m probably not at liberty to go too far into detail. All I have to say is I’m extremely excited about the direction we’re going in, and we’re really pushing to make sure the audience feels like it’s not more of the same. They feel like it’s fresh, they feel like the characters they’ve come to know and love are there, but this is gonna be different, and that’s probably the most I can give you right now.
FAST 8 is scheduled to open on April 14, 2017.
