The great Rutger Hauer draws “True Blood” season 6 as the mysterious Macklyn

Rutger Hauer on “True Blood”? Oh please HBO, don’t turn the Hitcher into a wimpy lesbian sprite!

But with the character name Macklyn, who knows. His role (a series regular) wasn’t specified by TV Line, but we do know he’ll have a deep and dark connection to Sookie Stackhouse and her brother Jason during season 6 of the hit HBO vampire skein. Oh the possibilities…

No telling how “True Blood” season 6 and beyond will shape up, now that show creator Alan Ball is on to bigger things. I’ve lost interest in the show a long time ago, so I can’t really see it getting much better or worse. Frankly, I don’t care. Still, Hauer on the tube every week is a really hard proposition to decline. Motherf*ckin’ Roy Batty we’re talking about!

How about you? You a TB faithful not matter what? Or does Hauer give you the extra incentive you need to see how the series will eventually end?
