The Hole in the Ground comes to DVD next month

One of the top fright flicks we're all looking forward to checking out here at AITH as soon as possible is Lee Cronin's THE HOLE IN THE GROUND starring Seána Kerslake. Our very own Jake Dee gave the flick a 7.5/10 rating, and today we have word we'll all be able to check it out for ourselves next month as Lionsgate will be bringing the creepy movie to DVD. You can check out the DVD cover art below along with an AITH exclusive clip.

The feature debut from writer-director Lee Cronin, THE HOLE IN THE GROUND weaves suspense, terror, and supernatural folklore into a richly evocative story about the primal fears of motherhood. Here's the spooky rundown on the flick:

Sarah and her young son Chris move to a new home in the Irish countryside, next to a forest that hides an enormous sinkhole. One night, Chris vanishes, and when he reappears he seems unharmed and unchanged. But, as his behavior grows increasingly disturbing, Sarah begins to fear that the boy who has returned may not be her son at all.

The film is directed by Lee Cronin from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Stephen Shields. Conor Barry and John Keville produced and the film stars Seána Kerslake, James Cosmo, Simone Kirby, Steve Wall, and James Quinn Markey. THE HOLE IN THE GROUND hit DirecTV exclusively back in January and got the theatrical treatment via A24 this month. Now the movie hits DVD via Lionsgate on April 30th. Read our review HERE.
