Even more distribution news coming out of AFM, this time regarding a project I have absolutely no interest in: THE HOWLING REBORN. The werewolf design seems okay (check out our exclusive look at the sucker HERE), but the storyline is doing nada for me, and once you throw in our lukewarm script review, I’ve already checked out…
Anchor Bay Entertainment, however, sees something in this pup, as Fangoria is reporting that they’ve snatched up distribution rights for REBORN, which was produced by Moonstone Entertainment and directed by Joe Nimziki. Anchor Bay releases tons of films every year, so this comes as no surprise; what does surprise a little is that the flick evidently has been given a theatrical commitment. No time frame for the release has been set, as far as we know.
Here’s the synopsis: On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past…that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them…and then, us all.
