The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat: Titanic

Well schmoes, we’ve had two weeks of Spielberg recently. If there I had to pick one director to have another two weeks in a row for The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat, it would have to be James Cameron. The man has made some really big movies. The two biggest, in fact. Since it hit Blu-Ray this week, I can’t think of a better time to cover one of the highest grossing movies of all time. Throw on your life jackets and be prepared to dive back into the water. This week we discuss Titanic!

Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as The Avengers, Shaun of the Dead, The Shining and Gremlins. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.

Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.

You know, I honestly didn’t like this movie when it first was released. It took awhile for it to grow on me. But grow on me it did. It’s a beautifully shot, wonderfully written masterpiece brought to us by the only person I feel can give us a film of this magnitude. This movie deserved to hold the number 1 spot on the all time highest grossing movies list for as long as it did. There is a lot to discuss with this movie, so join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST!
