Yale Entertainment has announced that they’re planning a summer production for the thriller The Last Girl, which is set to star Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Shelley Hennig (Unfriended), and Antonio Banderas (Desperado). Jon Keeyes (The Survivalist) will be directing the film from a screenplay by Charles Burnley – and judging by this IMDb page, it looks like The Last Girl is going to be Burnley’s first writing credit. He has previously worked a variety of jobs in the entertainment industry, including being a production assistant, videographer, grip, script supervisor, set dresser, and co-producer.

Eve will be taking on the role of a

a private investigator forced into a dangerous alliance with a killer (Hennig) in order to uncover a quiet town’s grisly criminal underbelly and clear the name of her mentor (Banderas), who is implicated in the crimes.

The Last Girl is being produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Michael J. Rothstein of Yale Entertainment, along with Richard Bolger and Conor Barry of Hail Mary Pictures, and Richard Clabaugh. There’s quite a list of executive producers in place: Jesse Korman and Jeffrey Tussi of Yale, Nick Donnermeyer of Yale’s Great Escape, Luke Taylor and Matt Helderman of BondIt, Kurt Ebner, Stephen Braun, Kade Thomas, Jason Kringstein, Scott Levenson, Richard Switzer, Colby Cote, Lee Broda, Aden Darmody, Jonathan Zuck, Luke Daniels, Shaun Sanghani, Tyler Konney, and Grant Johnson.

Keeyes, who also happens to be the Head of Production at Yale Productions, made his feature directorial debut with the 2002 horror film American Nightmare. Since then, he has directed more horror (Hallow’s End, Suburban Nightmare, Fall Down Dead, Doom Room, Phobia), several action movies (Mad Bad, Living & Dying, Rogue Hostage, Code Name Banshee), and thrillers (Element, The Harrowing, the aforementioned The Survivalist). He recently wrapped on a comedic drama called Butterscotch.

The Last Girl will be filming in Ireland.

This one caught my attention with its cast, so I look forward to seeing how it’s going to turn out. Does The Last Girl featuring Alice Eve sound like something you would be interested in watching? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
