After decades of competing with one another in the action genre, two of the biggest legends of the era, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone have united to star in their first full feature together, ESCAPE PLAN, and now we have our first look at the film. Although, Schwarzenegger made appearances in Stallone’s THE EXPENDABLES films, this is a full-on team up for the action icons.

This looks like a much more refined action pic than the last two solo pics these stars put out (THE LAST STAND and BULLET TO THE HEAD, respectively). Great setting, cool concept, and an air of old school nostalgia make this a sure bet for action fans. Lock me up! I’m in.
Here’s the synopsis:
One of the world’s foremost authorities on structural security agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called “The Tomb.” Deceived and wrongly imprisoned, Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built. Escape Plan is the first pairing of action legends Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in leading roles, and co-stars Jim Caviezel, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio and Amy Ryan.
