Kate Mulgrew to star opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris in Showtime's The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Emmy nominee Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Prodigy, Orange Is the New Black) has landed a recurring role opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris in Showtime’s The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Based on the Walter Tevis novel and the 1976 film starring David Bowie, The Man Who Fell to Earth will follow a new alien character (Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.

According to Deadline, Mulgrew will play Drew Finch, an operative who stands at the very top of the dangerous slopes of the CIA and a collector of secrets. Emotionally fearless, a master of finding and exploiting the weak link, Finch has to battle to keep her own past in the dark while playing for the biggest stakes of her life.

Known throughout the science-fiction community as Capt. Kathryn Janeway of Star Trek: Voyager fame, Mulgrew also played Galina “Red’ Reznikov on Orange Is the New Black. Mulgrew will soon find herself being beamed back into the Star Trek franchise for the upcoming animated series Star Trek: Prodigy.

Mulgrew is a major get for Showtime’s The Man Who Fell to Earth, which already boasts some brightly shining stars in Ejiofor and Harris. This is definitely something to keep an eye on as the stars continue to align.
