It’s been far too long since we’ve heard anything about THE NEIGHBOR, which stars our old friend America Olivo (one of our very best podcast guests). Back in September we brought you two clips from the flick (check them out HERE), but we still didn’t have any release information for the sexy slasher. Until now! According to Lionsgate’s press site, the flick is getting a DVD release in JULY. I’ll go put beer in the fridge!

Here’s the official synopsis for this heart-warmer: When a mysterious new girl (Olivo) arrives in town, residents of the posh suburban neighborhood realize that she is not so ordinary. Charming and personable, the new girl is also a cold-blooded killer, breaking into homes and torturing and slaughtering anyone inside. A local bachelor (Christian Campbell, TV’s “The Book of Daniel”) quickly finds himself tied up with the newcomer, just in time for her to become friendly with his party guests.

So yeah, pretty much a must-see. THE NEIGHBOR hits DVD on JULY 27th; the special features include a special effects featurette, fight scene featurette, behind-the-scenes interviews, and outtakes. I know I’ll be there. Will you?
