The Orchard plucks horror anthology Southbound after TIFF bow

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Fresh off its successful TIFF screening, budding distributor The Orchard has picked off horror anthology SOUTHBOUND with plans to release the film in the first half of 2016. Remember, this flick comes from the same crew that gave us the original VHS movie. Could be a real peach!

Directed by Roxanne Benjamin, David Bruckner, Patrick Horvath and Radio Silence – SOUTHBOUND interweaves:

Five interlocking tales of terror that follow the fates of a group of weary travellers who confront their worst nightmares – and darkest secrets – over one long night on a desolate stretch of desert highway.

Larry Fessenden, Dana Gould, Kate Beahan, Susan Burke, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Zoe Cooper and Gerald Downey are a few names headlining the cast.

About SOUTHBOUND, Paul Davidson, SVP of Film & TV at The Orchard says:

“When we saw Southbound, we knew we were looking into the eyes of a much different animal…Southbound is a slick and stylish film that will have audiences engrossed from the moment the engines kick into gear and we can’t wait to invite them to take that journey.”
