The Peripheral: Jack Reynor to star in Amazon series from Westworld creators

Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are set to unleash another tale of humanity gone mad with The Peripheral, an adaptation of the best-selling novel by William Gibson that has been described as a "dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind — and what lies beyond."

The sci-fi thriller has been developed by Scott B. Smith (A Simple Plan) for Amazon and it has now been announced that Jack Reynor (Midsommar) is set to star in The Peripheral alongside Chloë Grace Moretz (Tom & Jerry) and Gary Carr (The Deuce). Reynor will play Burton, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps' elite Haptic Recon force who is hired for a security job which takes place in what he thinks is cyberspace. Moretz plays Flynne, Burton's sister, a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow's America. Carr also stars in The Peripheral as Wilf, a publicist living in the 22nd century, nearly seventy years after Flynne and Burton's timeline. The series will be executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, along with Scott B. Smith, Athena Wickham, Steven Hoban, and Vincenzo Natali, who will also direct the series.

Jack Reynor recently starred in Anthony and Joe Russo's Cherry opposite Tom Holland, and you can check out a review from our own Chris Bumbray right here.
