As Daredevil: Born Again continues to get better with every episode, Marvel is ready to tease its next Special Presentation with a trailer for Punisher: One Last Kill, an hour-long odyssey into the wounded psyche of Frank Castle, aka, the Punisher. The preview paints a dark, mature, and hard-hitting portrait of Frank Castle, an anti-hero haunted by his past as he tries to eradicate evil wherever it lurks.
Who are the creative forces behind The Punisher: One Last Kill?
Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, Bob Marley: One Love) directs The Punisher: One Last Kill in addition to co-writing the screenplay with Jon Bernthal, who plays Frank Castle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Joining Bernthal in the upcoming Disney+ special are Jason R. Moore, Roe Rancell, and Mila Jaymes, with Chelsea Brea, Dominick Mancino, Evelyn O. Vaccaro, and Tom Johnson contributing to the cast.
The 60-minute runtime makes The Punisher: One Last Kill Marvel’s longest entry in its Special Presentation series, with 2022’s Werewolf By Night clocking in at 53 minutes, while the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special runs for 42 minutes.

In today’s teaser trailer for The Punisher: One Last Kill, a bearded Frank Castle can’t stop seeing the spirits of his former brothers-in-arms while trying to make peace with his family’s demise. While torturing himself with flashbacks to simpler times, gasoline begins leaking through the bottom of Frank’s front door. As he stares into the void, flames erupt beneath his feet, catching his shoes, traveling up his legs. Before he turns to ask, Frank breaks the cycle, crashing through the door like a bat out of hell. Whoever tried to smoke Frank out of his only sanctuary just made the worst mistake of their lives. As the trailer continues, it looks as if one of Frank’s neighbors, a young girl, gets taken, and Frank isn’t about to let that stand. As he stalks his prey through crowded streets, he unleashes hell, maybe for the last time.
Bernthal on bringing Frank back for another grim dark thriller
While speaking about The Punisher: One Last Kill last month, Berthal said, “Frank has no interest in breaking out [of] the darkness. I care very deeply about Frank, I’m really grateful that I’m getting the opportunity to tell the story that I think the fans deserve. We’re giving it our all, and we’re trying to tell a Frank Castle story that we’re going to turn our back on the audience — it’s not going to be easy, it’s not going to be light.”
The Punisher: One Last Kill comes to Disney+ on May 12.
